We can dive again!
We're excited that diving is allowed again, and will be re-opening our dive shop on 1 October 2020. Courses have already resumed again, so if you want to get going before the 1st let us know!
While we are all excited to get out and dive, let's keep in mind those who might live with the frail and vulnarable, and follow Covid-19 reccomendations.
Covid-19 Safety measures
We want to make sure you are safe from infection when diving with us. Aside from the normal measures that are prescribed for shops (such as masks, temperature checks, sanitizer), we have implemented the following scuba specific measures:
Rental gear
- All students & customers are provided with their own unique, pre-sterilized, set of equipment. Your set gets identified and assigned to you only for the duration of your course.
- You get to personally steralize your equipment after each dive. We use Steramine, a dive equipment friendly chemical, which is also used to steralize cooking equipment.
- All reglators, masks, and snorkels gets steralized in Steramine.
- Wetsuits, boots, gloves: These equipment gets washed with wetsuit shampoo, and gets to hang a minimum of 72 hours before being assigned to the next client. They hang in a special "cool down" section for this time, before they enter normal circulation again.
Transport
- We encourage all our students and divers to make use of their own transport during this time.
- If you would still like to drive with us, your are welcome to catch a lift in our steralized vehicles.
Masks
- We would like to ask all students and divers to wear their masks in the classroom, shop, and vehicles. Masks can be taken off when preparing at the dive sites, but divers are asked to maintain a 2 meter distance between each other while preparing.
I feel sick - should I come dive?
- It is never a good idea to come and dive if you feel ill - rather let us know, and we can reschedule your dives to another day.
